Adamant Joy

There is so much anger in the world,

Closed minds and confident ignorance.

Television, Internet, on the street,

People ready to lash out at the slightest provocation.

Politics, religion, traffic, work,

Difference

Instead of understanding and compromise,

Instead of celebrating the beauty of the many varied threads of our tapestry,

We retreat into separate camps,

Afraid of what challenges us,

Fearing change,

Fearing that which we don’t understand.

Some relish in stirring the pot of conflict,

Standing back to watch in glee,

As humanity devolves into cruelty and petty squabbles.

However…

There are also other people,

People who are bent on seeing the good in the world and each other,

People who refuse to join in what has become business as usual.

Voices of calm, voices of reason.

What a different world it could be if we all joined in,

Hearts open,

Filled with adamant joy,

Determined to take back the world from the clutches of hate,

Turning to the only answer there ever was-

Love.

  1. Oh, Neece!!!! I can’t tell you how much I love this!! I loved Lisa’s post and this is made me smile all over!!
Wouldn’t it be great if there were a reset button for people and they could start fresh without all the hate and viciousness?! Thank you!!

      1. You, my friend, are an angel and my inspiration! Feeling better, I hope? You have the best canine nursing staff ever!!

  2. Someone once defined love as seeing God in each person, place, or thing. And Wayne Dyer said when we look at the world differently, our world changes. So what better way to change our world than with love. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration 🙂
